The food industry is one of the most important sectors in the world. There is a rapid increase in development of food industry against the increasing of starvation in the world. The technologies used in food industry change day by day. There are many machines doing the same work in different ways. It is important to choose the more appropriate systems and machines due to the conditions of the factories. Food engineers have to learn the new applications and they have to put out new ideas for development to keep in step with the rapidly changing technology.

The summer practices provide lots of opportunities to learn about the new technologies and processes in details. There is not any way to learn about the industrial applications without breathing the atmosphere of a factory during the study of engineering.

In our country, there are many opportunities to have trainings for food engineering students. Because, there are lots of food manufacturing factory, which produce variable foods, in Turkey.
